Recycled Beauty: DIY Door Knob Beauty Jars

Recycled Beauty Miss Kris DIY JDoor Knob Beauty Jar Glitter N Glue 1“Get organized”… just one of the many goals I set for 2014! Are any of you planning to do the same? I stopped making New Year “resolutions” long ago because I never seemed to accomplish any of them. Now I set New Year goals! The term goal just seems a little more positive an attainable.

January kicks of the (what seems to be year-long) project of getting my life organized. I usually start with my home…. my kitchen, my closet, my desk and my bathroom. I love using recycled materials to help keep me organized. I used old jars and bottles to hold odds and ends so that everything has its place. Adding a door knob to the lids of your jars is a great way go glam up a vanity while keeping the clutter minimal.

DIY door knob beauty jars Mis Kris Glitter N Glue organize TAPE PAINTUse the painters tape to cover the knob, leaving the base exposed. Paint your jar’s lid and the base of your door knob. Allow a half hour to dry.

DIY door knob beauty jars Mis Kris Glitter N Glue organize PINSHere’s another organizing tip… I used an old Chanel accessories box to keep all my bobby pins. Having random pins scatters across my bathroom drives me crazy. Although it’s funny I can never seem to find one when I really need it!! I’ve also seen pins stored in old votive candle holders (here) which is also an adorable idea. I keep all my jars on this simple silver tray I picked up at the dollar store. Do you have any organization tips? I’d love to hear them!
