DIY: Light Brite Inspired Framed Monorgam Letter

Miss Kris Light Letter Glitter N Glue DIYRecently I’ve been obsessed with anything monogrammed. I had this light brite/ pegboard monogram “K” since this Summer but had to wait until the Christmas decor was in the store so I could get my hands on some lights. This is such a fun and easy project. You can personalize it with your own letter or spell out any words you wish.

Miss Kris Light Letter Glitter N Glue DIY MATERIALSMATERIALS: Lights, Frame*, Pegboard, Glue Gun, Tape

*It’s important that you find a frame that is rather deep so that you have somewhere to store the cords of the lights. I found the PERFECT frame at Ikea (here) for $15. It comes in silver but you can spray paint it any color you wish.

Miss Kris Light Letter Glitter N Glue DIY FRAMERemove the glass from your frame and replace it with the pegboard.

Miss Kris Light Letter Glitter N Glue DIY DRAWPenciling in your letter helps insure the correct placement of your lights. Just be sure to draw your letter backwards and on the backside of your pegboard so that your pencil marks aren’t visible.

Miss Kris Light Letter Glitter N Glue DIY GLUEInsert your lights into the holes of your pegboard. I used a little glue to keep the lights in place.

Miss Kris Light Letter Glitter N Glue DIY TAPEOnce your glue is dry, duct tape them in place just to be sure that hey are extra secure.
