No Sweat: Embellished Sweatshirt DIY

GNG Sequin Embellished sweatshirt DIYEmbellished sweatshirts are one of the hottest trends this Fall.  In the past, I have been a big supporter of fancy sweats  (here, here and to complete the look… here) and obviously I’m happy that this trend is sticking around. There are about a zillion ways to glam up a boring old sweatshirt so let this serve as your warning… there will more than likely be more embellished sweatshirt DIY projects to come! In the meantime, sequins and sweats…

GNG Sequin Embellished sweatshirt DIY  MATERIALSMATERIALS: Sweatshirt (available here from Old Navy), Sequin Fabric, Fabric Glue and Scissors

GNG Sequin Embellished sweatshirt DIY  PATTERNTIP: If you’re a DIY perfectionist, it might be helpful to use a piece of paper to create a patter of the area you wish to cover

GNG Sequin Embellished sweatshirt DIY  GLUEApply fabric glue to the area of your sweatshirt you wish to cover with fabric

GNG Sequin Embellished sweatshirt DIY  PLACEFirmly place your fabric over your glue making sure your fabric lays flat

GNG Sequin Embellished sweatshirt DIY  CUTUse your glue to create a seam along the edges, allow time to dry then uses your scissors to trim away excess fabric
